I apologize for the lack of updates as of late.
I've been very busy with a few other projects that I will soon make
you aware of. I'm about to pack my computer up and ship it back to
Madison so this is all I'll have for a while. Be sure to watch for a
LOT of updates in a week when I get back online. I'll have a full
week with basically nothing to do and I plan to get a lot of content
up on the site.
Pete and I are going to start working on some
genealogy stuff. We can use your help, so contact either of us and we
can assign you something to research. I'd like to trace the Bartelme
Line as far as possible, and I'm going to get in contact with Uncle
Frank who has a lot of work on the history on the Beckers.
Also, my sheepshead game is coming along pretty
good. I was lucky to enlist the help of a my boss at Mijenix
to help with the computer Artifical Intelligence. It's bound to
be a great game. I'll send all the normal players a copy when it's
"playable". The game will be released as Freeware, meaning
anyone can play it as many times as they want. If they wish to
"register" it, the can make a donation to the National
Kidney Cancer Association.
That's all I have for now. I look forward to
talking to you all soon.

We're on the new server, and everything seems
great. Like I said I can create many more email addresses, so feel
free to contact me if you'd like one. Also, I've put the Calendar
back online, Please update it with whatever information you have. If
you have any questions let me know. Also added more photos from the
Recent Family Outing at Lake Ellen and some great Pictures of the
twins Rachel and Caitlin.

We moved to another server (already!). I found one
that was very cheap and offered a lot of great features. Lots of
email addresses and some other great stuff. A few things might be
broken as I get them changed over.

Added a bunch of pictures to the Photos section.
Working on some nifty things that should be online in a few days.

Welcome to the brand new site for the Claude and
Margaret Bartelme family!
I've always wanted to have the email address [email protected]
(although my mother says it should be Phillip). Although I could
never justify registering the bartelme.com domain name just for that
reason. I came up with the idea of using this site as a central
repository for information regarding our family (outings, news,
pictures, etc). Email is a good method of distribution, but
with people moving around and changing addresses it can be a hassle.
I've also heard someone people mention the long download times with
pictures attached to emails. Hopefully - a simple "check our
website, I posted some great pictures of ...." can replace that
and they can be viewed whenever is convenient. |
